This afternoon Marine Scotland announced their proposals for the conservation of salmon in inland waters for season 2019. I am very pleased to announce that the Lomond System has been upgraded to Conservation Category 2.
This is still only a recommendation and has to be laid before the Scottish Parliament. The committee will of course be looking at this in more detail and comment further in due course.
