The following images were taken recently at Arden pits and demonstrate an utter disregard for our beautiful environment and fishing areas.
Whilst it is impossible to say that this damage was definitely attributable to “so called” anglers we would remind all members, anglers and permit holders that they must follow the countryside code and LLTNPA details about no rubbish or littering. This includes limits and controls on any fires and the responsibility whilst fishing that the area to be kept tidy and at end of trip all rubbish etc taken home. Such behaviour not only ruins our countryside for everyone but will do nothing to maintain the public image of real anglers.
Those found to have been responsible for such acts may have their permits removed as a minimum penalty.
