The ECCLR committee will convene at Holyrood tomorrow, 20th March, to further debate the proposed 2018 amendment to the Conservation of Salmon(Scotland) Regulations 2016.
A motion to annul the amendment has been put forward which if successful will see this year’s changes to the Conservation Categories abandoned. This means that all systems would keep their 2017 status, with the Lomond system remaining Cat 2..

The regulations are due to be discussed at 1045 in Committee Room 1 and proceedings can be viewed live or archived on Scottish Parliament Television
The chairman will attend Holyrood and we will provide an update at the earliest opportunity.
