Whilst the UK Government has recently announced relax some relaxation of the previous restrictions regarding exercise and certain sports we wish to remind you that these changes apply to England only. Consequently the existing guidelines and restrictions imposed by the Scottish Government during recent weeks continue to remain in place and our system remains closed to anglers.
It is increasingly likely that changes to current restrictions may be announced in the coming weeks by the Scottish Government. We will continue to monitor this and provide updates accordingly, including any special measures that will be required in order to support a safe resumption of angling if and when restrictions are eased by the Scottish Government.
Until such times as restrictions are eased then the Scottish Government instructions clearly require all of us to continue to remain at home wherever possible, with some defined exceptions. Accordingly we strongly advise anglers not to travel to the Lomond system and therefore avoid unnecessary exposure or spread of the virus to themselves and others, The whole fishery is closed at this time. Our bailiffs continue to monitor the system providing on the ground protection, enforcement and surveillance of the waters and fishery environment. Any Persons found fishing will be dealt with under the appropriate fisheries enforcement legislation.
Fortunately there is still a substantial part of the season ahead of us and anyone wishing to renew memberships or take out a Leven or coarse season permit can still do so online via https://www.lochlomondangling.com/membership/
