“Fishing in Scotland” 1970
Featuring Paul Young, Peter Anderson & Bill McEwan
This is a small excerpt from an archive angling film “Fishing in Scotland” from the 1970’s featuring Scottish fishing casting champion Peter Anderson and Paul Young as they tour many of Scotland’s most renowned rivers and lochs. Originally produced for “Milbro” this is a true gem showing many familiar places, faces and a reminder of just how prolific the fishing was at that time.
This particular excerpt showcases Loch Lomond with the well-known Balmaha Boatman Jimmy Pearman. We follow Peter Anderson and a very youthful looking Paul Young as they take on Bill McEwan and “Wee Jamie” fly fishing and dapping for sea trout on The “Big Loch” finishing with a “Drum Up” on the shore to compare catches lost and landed including some beautiful sea trout.….. enjoy.
