Finally we are off the mark with the first fish landed today by none other than experienced River Leven angler Chic McLean.
Chic got his season started with a pristine 10lb fish caught today at Ritchie’s Lade on a “flying c” which was subsequently safely released. Congratulations Chic and I am sure that this will be the first of many for you.
This is welcome news indeed for many since despite sightings of fish moving through the season like many west coast systems has experienced an unusual delayed start. An extremely dry April and unseasonal low temperatures appear to be some of the popular reasons being attributed to this late start on the west coast. Hopefully after our ‘false’ Spring then this is the first of many bent rods and reports.
