Introduction

After a somewhat slower than usual start to our season then things appear to have finally picked up in recent weeks with increasing reports of fish coming off. No doubt this in turn has led to some increase in rod activity across the system. Rod pressure continues to be low on the River Leven with comparatively few anglers on the banks.  The sport and catches along the Estuary continue to be strong with some fine Sea Trout catches being reported. After a later than normal start to things the Loch has begun to produce fish with ‘steady’ if not large numbers of reports of Salmon now being caught. The numbers and quality of Sea Trout coming off the loch has remained fairly good and have persisted perhaps longer into the season than normal.
